Rogue could feel them. All the people inside her mind, all the psyches. Jean. Kitty. Mystique, Wolverine, Lance, Wanda, Toad. Kurt...so many of them, she had to fight to keep them down.
Walking down the streets of New York, she pulled up her gloves more. She was wearing a black tanktop and tight black jeans. Over this she usually wore her long trenchcoat, but it was a slightly warmer night, so she'd just worn a green hoodie that left her shoulders bare, the sleeves of the hoodie tucked into her elbow length black gloves. Bumping into a random person, she said "Ah'm sorry" and only got a harsh look back, to which she scoffed.
Continuing her walk, Rogue felt her arm suddenly get caught on something, then get yanked back. With the yanking, she felt the fabric of her hoodie's right sleeve tear and rip off, taking the glove with it. "God damn it." she said, ignoring the stares shew was getting as she stuffed the sleeve and glove in her pocket. Keeping her right arm to herself, she kept walking, not putting the glove back on. It'd look stupid.
A few minutes later, she felt the one persona she hated. Magneto. His pathetic attempt to use her and claim the glory was forever a sore spot in her mind. Yet, it didn't ever cover the hurt Mystique had left her with. Nothing ever could.
"You are nothing. Nothing. Insignificant." his voice sounded in her mind.
Then, as if Magneto had riled them, the screaming began. "No...no....NO!" she screamed, clutching the sides of her head, then. She brought the hands to her ears as if clutching her ears closed would shut them up. No, they still screamed.
"You bitch." Pyro. Her old friend.
"Weak little girl." Mystique. Her [foster mother.
She grunted, loudly, as she came to a secluded part of the street. "LEAVE ME ALONE!!!!" she shouted, her head turned towards the sky, eyes bloodshot and red as she felt them starting to take over.

It was getting a little warmer out in the streets and the female could feel her body reacting to the heat. It craved it like a thirsty man craved water, heat and fire were something that made her body yearn. Sighing, she ran her hands over the hoodie jacket that she wore over a white wife-beater. The fabric clung to her body easily since it was an extra small and she wore a small. A small slip of skin show where her low rise jeans sat on her hips. The pinkish red eyes looked around slightly nervously as she walked down the street with her back to the group since she had been on the mornings news, the mayor saying that no mutant could teach their children. Thanks Mayor. Kick a man while he's down. She thought bitterly with a small show of teeth, her dreads hanging down the front of her hoodie. Under the hoodie, she wore a black beanie that cover her head.
Receiving looks for her weird attire in perfect weather, she didn't react but stared through the dark sunglasses. It was a long hallway that she walked with nothing but a few lights. Pausing in her steps, she moved around a figure that seemed to be having some trouble walking. An older woman by the looks and Aella felt bad but she could help the woman. Touching the human skin would just cause her pain. For the time being, her hands were shoved inside her jacket with her head down. But something brought her brow to frown slightly with an annoyed look before seeing the female that had been making some noise. A scream left the girls lips that left the people around her slightly shaken. Frowning lightly, she moved out of her comfort zone and moved over to the female.
Brown hair with a white streak running the length of the hair, it was a sight to see that was for sure. The girl was small and somewhat young but she wasn't happy. Pain, but by the eyes that flashed as Aella rounded to the front of the female, anger. "Shh..Shh. It's alright, kleine..." The German word moved from her lips easily as she moved to touch the girls shoulder but hesitated as she heard the younger woman's thoughts in her mind. With a soothing tone, she tried to lead the girl away from the group of staring people by wrapping an arm around her shoulder. Her arm was warm she could feel it but she didn't want to let the girl just stand here like this, so distraught. Her mind couldn't let her live with the thought of just leaving the female here. It was human to care. She was somewhat human so she wrote it off as such. "What is your name, hm?" She spoke gently, trying to get the female to think about something else. It was a technique she learned from teaching children that were upset. Get them to think of something else so they could focus on that.

It was the German word that brought Kurt to the forefront, and she almost let him take over but wait...no, no, she wasn't Kurt, she wasn't. Who was she....Jean Grey? No, that wasn't even close. Wolverine? No....but he knew her...Rogue....Anna Marie....there...that was her.
Wasn't it? Breathing hard, she squeezed her eyes shut and frantically fought through all the memories. Logan's Weapon X treatment...Bobby's kissing Kitty while Rogue watched from her room's window, and then one struck out at her. Kurt's finding out about Mystique, then, simautaneously, her own finding out about Mystique. That was it...she was Anna Marie. No, Anna Marie was left behind in Mississppi when she'd fled because of her powers. She was Rogue.
Rogue turned her bloodshot eyes to the woman, her breath coming out in short panting gasps. Her own personality broke through and took the forefront, but they were all still riled, all still a part of her.
"What's your name, hm?" the woman asked.
"Rogue." she replied, her voice not only hers, but a mix of all the other voices, as if she was part of a congregation in a church, her voice and the others echoing even though the acoustics provided no echo.

With dark pink and red eyes, the female searched the woman's face with a concerned look on the features. Something was wrong with the female that stood before her and Aella felt completely helpless. How could she help? But when the eyes opened and looked at her, she saw a mind there nothing but thoughts behind the eyes that she couldn't read but it disturbed her slightly. Tilting her head, she pursed her lips before hearing the name Rogue leave her lips. It was a voice she had not heard before, the sound was slightly off like an echo of some kind. Refusing to frown as she had the females attention, she offered a small smile, she rubbed the girls shoulder tentatively, not wanting to spook her into thinking that anything was wrong. "Rogue? What a unique name. How old are you Rogue..." It was like a mother speaking to a child in a hushed tone to share a secret. Of course it wasn't a secret. But the girl was not human. It was a feeling in her bones and the way the girls was acting. Normal humans did not take kindly to mutants, not around these parts.
Finally away from the group, she released her arm from around Rogue's shoulder and stepped back to give her space as she raised her eyebrows. Focusing on the female was a bad idea for a flood of thoughts moved through her mind and she made a face as her eyes fluttered closed. They were different people, not this girl in front of her. It was like a old telephone reaching out to speak to her. Then she shut it off, her eyes opening and a small accepting smile pulling her lips. Not bothering to ask or even mention them, she stood besides the female with a patient look on her face. Yay for teaching kindergartners and third graders.

"Twenty. Ah'm twenty." Rogue responded, her voice breathy, and then something happened. They got loud again, and she got up, grunting and wobbling, her hands over her ears. Walking until she was leaned up against a dirty brick wall, she whimpered, and tried hard to block them all down.
"Leave.....Me.....ALONE!!" she screamed at them again, her voice getting growlier, and her own, no longer the congregation of the others. The psyches locked onto Colossus, and her right hand became coated in steel with a tink! sound, and, lifting it, she punched a hole through the wall of the alley, probably right into someone's apartment.
Rogue grunted again, then fell to her knees, her mind jumbled and even closer to the edge. Then, the psyches locked onto Storm, and her eyes took on the white overclouding that happened when Storm activated her powers, lighting cracking in the sky as she looked back up at the woman, a sudden wind moving and flowing her white-banged hair around her, a loud BOOOM! of thunder sounding as she drew in deep breaths and pushed them out sharply.

The female named Rogue was seemingly getting better as she spoke her age and Aella nodded softly as she stepped forward with a tilt of the head. But Rogue stood up and Aella's brows pursed together as she did so and followed behind her. "Is something wrong, Rogue..." She questioned gently, her voice that to a young child. She kept her distance before the scream from the woman made her jump slightly and her arms cross over her chest from reaching out to touch her. With an apology on her lips, it was halted as the hand slammed into the side of the building. With eyes that were surprised but now guarded, she figured helping this girl might have been a mistake. Harm could come from one mutant to another, yes? This one wasn't an easy person either. Something plagued her.
As the wall crumbled, Aella covered her face as the particles flew from remains of the hole in the wall before peering through her arms. When Rogue went to her knees, Aella begun to move forward towards her but the eyes looked at her was over shadowed with a white cover and she froze as the wind begun to whip around. Frowning, her eyes went to the sky before back at Rogue. "Rogue?!" She said, trying to bring the female back to the surface or back to some kind of sense. This wind and lightning made her nervous and her skin itch. The rain was in the air and she couldn't handle the touch of it right now, her skin would sizzle and the pain from the cold would be like that of a hot droplet on cold skin.

Rogue?!
The woman's voice echoed throughout her mind, and she felt her own persona scream with rage, and then bash down all the others, until she was in control. That was on the mental plane. In the real world, Rogue finished the last of the scream her psyche gave, and the storm died with one final flash of lightining, her hair dropping back into place.
With a strangled sigh, she leaned against the wall she'd jus punched a hole through and closed her eyes, regaining her composure and strength, rubbing her eyes before opening them again and looking at the woman infront of her.
"Ah'm sorry about that." Rogue said, and held out her hand. "Ah'm Rogue. But you knew that, Ah guess." she said, with a shy smile.

The dark eyes watched the female for a moment, trying to determine what was the female's next course of action. She was thus far unpredictable with her switch of personalities faster then Aella could follow with her own mind. Keeping her distance, she watched with a pinched brow as she felt the mental power of the other female flow into the air like a tidal wave before slowly dimming down till nothing was there but a soft hint of what power had been there previously. The moment seemed to be over as the lightening died down and the woman's hair fell around her face with ease. Pursing her lips, she tilted her head and took a slight step forward to the figure of the woman.
Hearing the sigh that pulled into her lips, Aella kept her distance from Rogue with the notion she needed the space to gather herself. Standing still as she could, the eyes watched Rogue's movements with a small parent like concern on her face before the eyes turned to her. When the girl apologized, she heistated before waving a dismissive hand in the air and grasped the girls hand gently that was covered in a leather like fabric. "It's alright...We all have our days..." She mummered lightly. "Aella...A pleasure Rogue."
